How checkpoints work on the border of Crimea and Ukraine

The border department of the FSB in the Republic of Crimea recalled how checkpoints work and what documents citizens must have to cross the border from Ukraine.

Automobile checkpoints «Armyansk», «Dzhankoy» and «Perekop» operate daily and around the clock, in normal mode.

In total, since the beginning of March, more than 156 thousand people and about thousand people have crossed the border with Crimea vehicles, — noted in the press service of the Border Guard.

To enter Russia, citizens of Ukraine must have a valid passport, international passport or birth certificate — up to 16 years. Children can cross the border only when accompanied by adult legal representatives: parents or persons on whom a notarized consent is issued. Consent issued in Ukraine, in the DPR and LPR are recognized by the Russian Federation. At the same time, no documents are required to confirm the purpose of entry.

In the absence of documents at all, or in the presence of damaged documents that are no longer recognized as valid, entering foreigners have the right to be granted asylum in Russia. To do this, you need to submit an appropriate application, this work is constantly carried out at checkpoints.

Citizens of Ukraine can also arrive in Russia with expired documents, however, such persons have the right to stay in the Russian Federation for no more than days from the moment of crossing the border.

At the same time, for citizens of Russia to travel outside the Russian Federation, restrictions on the procedure for crossing the state border continue to apply, provided for by the order of the Government of 27 March 45 . This document introduced restrictions on leaving the country due to the quarantine measures due to the coronavirus pandemic.
