How fuel problems affected food security
CrimeaPRESS reports:
More than 55% of winter crops have already been sown in Crimea, and the sowing campaign continues “at an absolutely normal pace” thanks to the issue of diesel fuel being resolved in advance for farmers. About this on air radio «Sputnik in Crimea» said the Minister of Agriculture of Crimea Denis Kratyuk.
We were very worried about the sowing campaign, and Yuri Mikhailovich Gotsanyuk I personally dealt with this issue. We convened a large, serious meeting in Belogorsk to level out all the questions of our farmers regarding diesel fuelKratyuk shared.
Thus, according to him, even on the eve of the sowing campaign, Crimean farmers contracted about 2.5 thousand tons of fuel at a price significantly lower than the market price: 67-65 rubles per liter. This is exactly the amount that business executives pledged at the beginning of the year, the minister noted:
More than 350 enterprises worked under this program and managed to make purchases.
As a result, today, according to him, “sowing is proceeding at an absolutely normal pace, even slightly ahead.”
We have now already sown more than 55% of winter crops. And I think that by the end of the month we will be closer to 90%,” Kratyuk clarified.
Previously, the head of the republic Sergei Aksenov reportedthat in Crimea 526 thousand hectares of fields were allocated for sowing winter grains.
