Important! Sevastopol police are identifying victims of a fraudulent scheme involving shared construction on the street. Rubezhnaya
As previously reported, investigators from the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Gagarinsky district have completed an investigation into a criminal case of fraud in the amount of over 20 million rubles during the construction of apartment buildings.
From February 2020 to March 2023, the 49-year-old defendant, under the pretext of selling residential premises in houses under construction, defrauded more than 20 million rubles from residents of Sevastopol, Crimea, Nizhny Novgorod, Smolensk and Rostov regions.
To successfully implement the criminal scheme, the accused acquired two plots of land on Rubezhnaya Street, 27 and 31 in Sevastopol for individual housing construction and, in violation of the law, erected three three-story houses on them. Knowing that it would not be possible to put them into operation, he deceived potential buyers and received money from them.
Currently, 11 people have been recognized as victims, but investigators have every reason to believe that there may be more.
In order to establish them, the Sevastopol police calls on citizens who purchased premises from the developer at the address: Sevastopol, Rubezhnaya Street, 27 and 31, to contact the investigative department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Gagarinsky district, which is located at the address: Astana Kesaeva Street, 15A, investigator’s telephone number: 8 (978) 298-60-70.
