In 2021, about 98 thousand Crimean taxpayers took advantage of tax benefits in the amount of more than 9 billion rubles

According to the results of the assessment of the effectiveness of tax expenditures for 2021, about 98 thousand taxpayers took advantage of tax benefits and preferences for a total amount of more than 9 billion rubles. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea Irina Kiviko following the results of the regular meeting of the working group held today under her leadership to consider issues related to ensuring the receipt of taxes, fees, property payments to the budget of the Republic of Crimea and local budgets. The meeting was held with the direct participation of representatives of the Office of the Federal Tax Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea.
As a result of the curators’ assessment of tax expenses due to the tax benefits provided for 2021, about 98 thousand taxpayers took advantage of tax benefits for a total amount of 9.1 billion rubles, which is 1.8 times or 4 billion rubles more than in 2020— the press service quotes Irina Kiviko.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, 7 relevant ministries of the republic are curators of tax expenditures: the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Crimea, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Crimea, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea, the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Crimea, the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Crimea, the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Crimea .
As part of the meeting, analytical reports of the curators of tax expenditures on the results of assessing the effectiveness of tax expenditures for the 2021 financial year were considered.
The chief financier of Crimea recalled that such an assessment is related to the implementation of the Agreement on measures for socio-economic development and improvement of public finances, concluded between the Russian Ministry of Finance and the Head of the Republic of Crimea. The Agreement stipulates that the republic, as a recipient of a subsidy for equalizing budgetary security, is obliged to implement measures aimed at reducing the level of subsidies and increasing tax and non-tax revenues of the consolidated budget of Crimea, which provide for an assessment of the effectiveness of tax expenditures due to tax incentives, exemptions and other preferences established by the legislation of the Republic of Crimea.
Based on the results of consideration during the meeting of the assessment of tax expenses due to the tax benefits provided for 2021, in general, all tax expenses were recognized as effective and the curators and tax authorities made proposals to maintain their effect in the future— Irina Kiviko notes.
For reference: according to the results of the assessment of tax expenses carried out by the curators, due to the tax benefits provided for 2020, more than 120 thousand taxpayers took advantage of tax benefits for a total amount of more than 5.1 billion rubles.
