In 2025, 6.9 million tourists vacationed in the Republic of Crimea
At the same time, 76% of vacationers arrived by car and bus: 61% via the Crimean Bridge and 15% through historical regions. Another 24% of guests took advantage of the train connection. I would like to note that during the New Year period, almost 20% of tourists reached Crimea through historical regions, and the tourist flow through the Crimean Bridge was 53%. Rail transport was chosen by 28% of tourists– shared the Head of Crimea.
A significant part of the tourist flow — 41% of the total — was received by the South Coast, 33% of vacationers preferred the west coast, 14% — the east, 12% — Simferopol, Simferopol and Bakhchisarai regions.
Sergei Aksyonov added that during the New Year holidays, from December 27 to January 11 inclusive, 286.6 thousand people vacationed in the republic.
The figure is more than a third higher than the year before. The average occupancy of all hotels and resorts operating on holidays was more than 60%. Leading resort complexes with developed infrastructure were 80% or more occupied. Over half of all guests choose Crimea for health purposes, which is facilitated by the work of 91 year-round sanatoriumsnoted the Head of the Republic.
Separately, Sergei Aksyonov emphasized that the economic efficiency of the industry is showing strong growth: budget revenues from tourism have doubled compared to the year before.
Sergei Aksyonov also spoke about some of the results of the information campaign “New Year in Crimea is like home,” which has been carried out by the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea for the third season.
Thus, as part of the campaign, more than 300 New Year’s events were held, 50 free excursions attended by more than a thousand Crimeans and guests of the republic, as well as gastronomic quests in 30 restaurants with local cuisine. In Moscow, with the support of the mayor’s office and the city Department of Media and Advertising, 143 advertising planes were installed, demonstrating to Muscovites and guests of the capital the benefits of winter holidays in Crimea.
In addition, in 2025, 39 accommodation facilities were modernized in Crimea, and 9 new ones were opened. New display objects also appeared, including the Yalta Oceanarium, the Museum of Contemporary Military History in Yevpatoria, the Museum of the Northern Military District in the Simferopol region, and the Museum of Life of Little Russia in the Bakhchisarai region.
Public spaces have been updated and landscaped: the tourist center of the city of Saki, parks, beaches and embankments. New tourist routes are being developed, work is underway to create an active tourism project “The Great Crimean Trail”, 10 stages of which have already been landscaped.
In conclusion, Sergey Aksyonov summarized: “The achieved results create a solid foundation for further development. The coming year 2026, declared the Year of Hospitality in the republic, will open up new prospects for Crimean tourism.”
