In 2025, more than 440 tons of cucumbers were collected in Sevastopol
Krympress reports:
At the largest greenhouse plant of the city of Sevagrosoyuz LLC, they began the second harvest in the current year. The company is located in the village of Sugar head. In recent years, it has not only preserved, but also significantly increased the production of cucumbers — from 600 tons in 2024 to the predicted 620 tons in 2025.
The Department of Agriculture and the Consumer Market actively stimulates the development of the vegetable growing of closed soil of the region. Within the framework of the approved state program of the city, greenhouses are reimbursed from 50% to 75% of the costs aimed at the modernization, reconstruction and construction of greenhouses, as well as compensation for energy costs — gas and electricity,-quoted the press service of the Government of Sevastopol as deputy head of the department of industry development of agriculture of the Department of Lydia Ivanov.
Since 2020, Sevagrosoyz LLC receives significant support for energy resources. Over five years, the company allocated almost 27 million rubles of subsidies, which allowed to stabilize production even in the winter, when the costs of heating and lighting reach a peak.
The greenhouse is energy -intensive production. Without state support, it would be necessary to save on temperature conditions, which would inevitably reduce productivity. One degree for a plant is not just a figure, it is the difference between 10 and 30 tons per hectare— notes the agronomist of the enterprise Alexander Belogrudov.
On 3 hectares of greenhouses, 75,000 bushes of cucumbers of the Burn variety, adapted to local conditions, are grown. The crop is harvested daily, within 3-5 months of fruiting. During the year, two full circulation of culture is carried out — sowing in December and June, harvesting from February and August.
In 2024, the enterprise gathered about 600 tons of cucumbers. As of today, 440 has been produced and implemented, and by the end of the year it is planned to reach a larger indicator.
High yields are provided by the device of the drip irrigation system with a nutrient solution, pipeline heating, water analysis and fertilizer selection. Thanks to the optimization of climatic parameters and competent plant care, we increased the crop without expanding the area of greenhouses— explained Alexander Belogrudov.
Sevagrosoyuz products are sold on the markets and in the retail chains of Sevastopol and Crimea — PUD, Mercury, Shop, as well as through the wholesale market “Breaking” in Simferopol.
The plans include the modernization of existing greenhouses, the construction of a new new greenhouse per 1 hectare, the cultivation of tomato and mushrooms of the oyster mushrooms and the opening of their own store in the village of Sugar head with products from local farmers— said the director of the enterprise Evgeny Ven.
