In particular, for workers with less than six months of experience, as well as for those receiving the minimum wage, temporary disability benefits will be calculated taking into account the new value. According to preliminary data, the minimum average daily earnings will be 890.73 rubles, but the final amount will depend on the number of days in the month.

The expert noted that similar changes will affect vacation payments. If the employee’s average daily earnings are lower than the value calculated from the new minimum wage, the amount of vacation pay will be determined based on the minimum level. Thus, along with the increase in the minimum wage, the minimum amount of vacation pay will also increase.

In addition, the adjustment to the minimum wage will affect maternity benefits for women whose average daily income over the previous two years allows for payments to be calculated at the upper limit.

Increasing the minimum wage traditionally entails changes in a variety of calculations related to remuneration and is aimed at increasing the social protection of low-income workers.

Vinogradov emphasized that adjusting the minimum wage entails a revision of a number of regulatory calculations, including those related to the calculation of insurance premiums.

This, in turn, is reflected in the size of the future pension: the higher the contributions, the more pension points are accrued. Already assigned pensions will not change as a result of the minimum wage increase, but for those who continue to work, this means a potential increase in future paymentssaid the professor.

He recalled that in some regions the minimum wage is set separately, by agreement between the authorities, employers and trade unions. So, for example, in Moscow from 2025 it amounted to 32,916 rubles. The regional indicator cannot be lower than the federal one.
