In Alushta, an ex-official was convicted of corruption crimes
The former head of the property and land relations department of the administration of the Crimean resort city of Alushta was sentenced to 5.5 years in a colony for corruption crimes under several articles, including bribes. This is reported in Telegram channel Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
Investigators and the court found that in 2018, the official did not resettle the residents of dilapidated apartment buildings in the village of Partenit and the village of Maly Mayak, although being in these buildings created a threat to people’s safety. In June 2021, a lease agreement for municipal real estate was concluded between the Alushta Property and Land Relations Department and the director of a commercial company, under which the rent was not paid, and the official ignored the violations — the damage to the municipality amounted to more than 2 million rubles.
In addition, the ex-official received bribes for reducing the legal time frame for considering applications for the transfer of ownership of a municipal land plot, accelerating the redistribution of a municipal land plot, and for ensuring that the company won the auction for the lease of municipal property. The total amount of bribes amounted to over 1.1 million rubles.
By a court verdict, the woman was found guilty and sentenced to 5 years and 6 months of imprisonment to serve the sentence in a general regime correctional colony, with deprivation of the right to hold positions in state bodies and local governments related to the exercise of organizational, administrative and economic powers for a period of 5 years, the statement says.
The woman was found guilty of four criminal articles: Part 1 of Art. 293 (negligence), part 1, art. 285 (abuse of official powers), part 1 of Art. 286 (exceeding official powers), part 2 of Art. 290, paragraph “c”, part 5, art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (taking a bribe). As the prosecutor’s office of the Republic of Crimea clarified, the amount of bribes will be collected from the convicted person.
