In Alushta, members of the Crimean student brigades cleaned up the iconic memorials of the Great Patriotic War

As part of the eighth annual Republican patriotic action “Victory Landing,” participants of the Crimean regional branch of Russian student groups carried out large-scale work to improve memorial sites in the Alushta urban district. The labor landing covered key historical heritage sites that require special attention on the eve of the spring holidays.

The main scope of work was deployed at two significant locations. At the 5th kilometer of the Yalta Highway, at the Monument to the Crimean Partisans, which serves as a symbol of the courage of participants in the partisan movement of the peninsula, volunteers carried out a complete sanitary cleaning of the surrounding area and updated the appearance of the monument. Work was also carried out in the village of Semidvorye at the Mass Grave of Soviet Soldiers — a cultural heritage site of regional significance, where the heroes who gave their lives for the liberation of the Crimean land are buried, and caring for which became a priority task of the action.

The action has become a good tradition for us, uniting hundreds of caring students across the peninsula. Work in Alushta and Semidvorye is especially important, since we care not only about the appearance of monuments, but also about the preservation of cultural heritage sites. For each participant in the labor landing, this is an opportunity to personally bow to the feat of their ancestors and contribute to the improvement of their native land, because preserving the truth about the Great Patriotic War begins with small but real deeds of each of us,” noted Ekaterina Denesyuk, head of the Crimean regional branch of Russian student groups.

The republican action “Victory Landing” has been held in Crimea for the eighth year in a row. The project is aimed at patriotic education of youth, popularization of the values ​​of volunteerism and development of the labor potential of students and schoolchildren. In 2026, 600 fighters from student groups will take part in the campaign events throughout the republic.
