In Alushta, the chairman of the cooperative was convicted, who appropriated his money and fraudulently stole the property of members of the cooperative. Based on the evidence presented by the prosecutor’s office, he was found guilty by the court of committing crimes under Part 3 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud), part 3 of Art. 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (appropriation).
It was established that the chairman of the cooperative, receiving shares from its members, did not reflect them in the cash book, did not submit questions on their spending at the general meeting of members of the cooperative, but appropriated the funds. Thus, the chairman of the cooperative, using his official position, turned in his favor the funds entrusted to him by the cooperative in an amount exceeding 850 thousand rubles.
He, using his official position, under the pretext of transferring a land plot located on the territory of the cooperative, being unable to actually fulfill his obligations, fraudulently received from a member of the cooperative 1 thousand US dollars, which he stolethe prosecutor’s office said.
Taking into account the position of the state prosecution, the chairman of the cooperative was sentenced to 6 years and 6 months in prison in a correctional colony of general regime. The verdict has not entered into force.
