In Chernorechye — near Sevastopol — an unregistered well for groundwater extraction was discovered

During routine monitoring of compliance with environmental legislation in the field of subsoil protection in the village of Chernorechye, inspectors from Sevprirodnadzor discovered a well intended for the extraction of groundwater.

The audit showed that the land user on whose property the well is located did not send a notification to Sevprirodnadzor about the planned or already ongoing type of subsoil use. This is a mandatory requirement provided for control over the rational and safe use of natural resources, including groundwater, which are part of the subsoil and are under state protection.

In order to prevent further violations and rational use of groundwater, the owner of the land plot was warned against violating mandatory requirements. Sevprirodnadzor will continue to monitor compliance with legal requirements and, if necessary, take additional response measures.
