In Crimea, 50% of SVO participants use new benefits for travel to rehabilitation centers

Since the beginning of 2026, 50% of all veterans who applied for treatment at SFR rehabilitation centers applied for free travel vouchers. This form of payment for travel was introduced in addition to the mechanism for compensating travel expenses, in which a veteran of the Northern Military District first pays for the trip on his own, and then the regional office compensates him for the money spent.the message said.

Vouchers for free travel tickets are issued simultaneously with the approval of the application for treatment. A SVO participant can choose a convenient way to pay for travel: compensation or a coupon. The new option is available for applications submitted from 2026, the Financial Markets Service clarified.

Demobilized participants in a special operation can submit an application for sanatorium-resort treatment or medical rehabilitation: remotely through the State Services portal, in person at the client services of the SFR Branch for the Republic of Crimea, as well as at the offices of the MFC. A decision on it is made within 2 two working days. The service is available to demobilized SVO participants who have the status of a combat veteran– added in the message.

In addition, from 2026, close relatives of Northern Military District veterans can accompany them for treatment free of charge if this is provided for by medical indications or if disability group I is established. The expenses for travel, accommodation and food for the accompanying person are also provided by the social fund, experts emphasized.

Today, vouchers are issued to 12 rehabilitation centers in the Astrakhan, Moscow, Vladimir, Saratov, Kirov, Volgograd, Tyumen, Kemerovo, Tomsk and Omsk regions, as well as in the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Khakassia. Health resorts are equipped with modern technology and have a full range of resources for quality treatment and recovery— said in the Republican Branch of the Federation Council of Russia.

Earlier it was reported that the State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill aimed at strengthening measures of social support for fighters of the Russian Guard and their loved ones.
