In Crimea, a married couple was punished for selling counterfeit alcohol

In Crimea, the Kirovsky District Court delivered a verdict in a criminal case against two residents of the village of Tokarevo. A married couple was found guilty of committing crimes under paragraph «a» part 6 of Art. 171.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (production, acquisition, storage and sale of goods and products without marking), part 1 of Art. 171.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal production and (or) circulation of ethyl alcohol, alcoholic and alcohol-containing products).
The court found that a married couple who own a store, from May 2021 to December 2021, were engaged in the sale of alcoholic products that were not labeled with excise stamps. As a result of the illegal activities of a married couple, illegal products were sold for a total amount of more than 130 thousand rubles— told the Crimean prosecutor’s office.
By a court verdict, the residents of the region were sentenced to 2 years in prison each, the sentences were suspended with probation for the same period and a fine of 320 thousand rubles. The verdict of the court did not enter into force.
