From September 29 to October 5, in the Crimea and Sevastopol, a total of 13 002 people got acute respiratory viral infections (SARS), the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor reports.
According to the agency, in the Crimea, for the reporting period, 9697 ARVI cases were registered. The incidence is at the level of the previous week and below the epidemic threshold by 4.3%. In Sevastopol, 3305 people fell ill, the indicator below the epidemic threshold by 13.6%.
According to laboratory virological monitoring, the incidence of respiratory infections on the peninsula is due to the circulation of respiratory viruses by non -flu etiology— specify in Rospotrebnadzor.
In addition, at the reporting week in the republic, 74 cases of Covid-19 were registered, in Sevastopol-111 cases.
Currently in the region, flu vaccination continues. At the 40th week, 493,812 people are vaccinated, including 134,810 children. All medical organizations of the peninsula are provided with vaccines for the prevention of influenza.
Acute respiratory viral infections are especially flu, dangerous primarily by the development of complications: bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, the department recalled.
