In Crimea (as in a region with a high level of terrorist threat) will strengthen the inspection of transport

Inspection of transport and control over movement across the borders of Russian regions, on the territories of which a “yellow” (high) level of terrorist threat has been set, has been strengthened. This follows from the decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, published on Tuesday on the official portal legal information.

As noted by TASS, this document amends the decree of the Head of State on the procedure for establishing levels of terrorist threat, providing for adoption of additional measures to ensure the security of the individual, society and the state, as well as the procedure approved by this decree.

It is envisaged to “ strengthen control over the movement of vehicles across the administrative borders of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation, on whose territory the level of terrorist threat has been established, conduct an inspection of vehicles using technical means for detecting weapons and explosives «. Previously, this measure was provided only for the «red» level of terrorist threat.

In addition, the Decree of the President eliminated the period of 15 days for which the level of terrorist threat is set.

To date, the «yellow» level of terrorist danger has been established in the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions, Sevastopol, certain regions of the Crimea, the Krasnodar Territory and the Voronezh Region. It provides for strengthening the work of law enforcement agencies, as well as inspection at train stations and other crowded places. Also, at the “yellow” level of terrorist threat, medical organizations are being transferred to high alert mode, places are being determined where people can be temporarily placed. In addition, the protection of strategic facilities, including energy infrastructure, is being increased. Now the emphasis is also on the inspection of transport.
