In Crimea — emergency warning about heavy snowfalls

An emergency warning has been issued in Crimea due to impending snowfall, which is predicted in the mountains in the next 24 hours. This was reported by the Republican Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

According to the Crimean Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, on the afternoon of April 9, during the day on April 10, heavy snow, sleet, wet snow, and sleet are expected at times in the mountains of Crimeathe message says.

Under these conditions, there is a high probability of emergencies associated with an increase in the number of accidents, disruptions in transport communications, obstruction of vehicle traffic on roads, long descents and ascents, dangerous turns and mountain passes. Rescuers urge you to follow safety measures and avoid going into mountainous and forested areas; limit your stay in the immediate vicinity of river beds, including dry ones.
