Thank you to everyone in this room today and to those on duty for your professionalism, responsibility, courage and bravery. You come to the rescue at the first signal — day or night, in any weather — and act quickly and decisively,” Yuri Gotsanyuk emphasized, addressing those present.
He also expressed special gratitude to service veterans, noting that they laid a strong foundation for future generations of rescuers.
You continue to pass on your invaluable experience to young colleagues, instilling in them dedication and a real relay of couragehe added.
According to the Chairman of the Government, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations have repeatedly proven their high professionalism over the years of service. In just 11 months of 2025, 12 emergencies were eliminated, about 3.5 thousand fires were extinguished, covering more than 7 thousand hectares, over 1,400 explosive objects were neutralized and more than a thousand trips to road accidents were made. Thanks to the prompt actions of rescuers, they managed to protect 23 settlements from the fire.
Gotsanyuk noted that behind each number there are real human destinies, lives saved and property saved. He emphasized the importance of preventive work, calling it the key to reducing the number of emergencies:
The more effort and resources we invest in preventive work today, the calmer tomorrow will be.
At the end of his speech, Yuri Gotsanyuk wished the rescuers good health, endurance, quiet duties and prosperity in the new year, and expressed confidence that the Emergency Situations Ministry employees will continue to honorably fulfill their duty, returning home safe and sound.
