The head of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Vladimir Nikolaevich Terentyev, received an appeal from the inhabitants of the peninsula with words of gratitude for the work to restore their violated rights. A Crimean put his signatures under the lines — these are mothers and fathers who faced a delay in the issuance of vital medicines to children with disabilities.

Earlier, on the initiative of Vladimir Terentyev, a reception was held jointly with the Minister of Health of the Republic of Crimea for residents of the peninsula. Then only a few mothers of children suffering from diabetes and cystic fibrosis turned to the investigators, who said that the medicines necessary for their daughters and sons were issued belatedly. On behalf of the chief investigator of the peninsula, a criminal case was not only immediately initiated on the fact of the negligence of unidentified officials of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea, but also instructed to identify the entire circle of parents with children who were hostages of this problem. The investigation of the criminal case and interaction with the victims in order to restore their violated rights was entrusted to the investigator of the Department for the Investigation of Particularly Important Cases Vladimir Novikov , the press service of the department reported.

As part of the investigation in the relevant ministry, the investigator requested and analyzed absolutely all the documentation on providing underage children with disabilities with prescribed drugs on the territory of the peninsula, identified shortcomings in this area, and made proposals for their elimination. In parallel, in the course of communication with the parents of children, special attention was paid to the social aspect: assistance in organizing interaction with pharmacies, medical institutions and departments of the Ministry of Health. Moreover, the investigator managed to achieve a change in the very procedure for purchasing medicines for children — now it is personalized, which significantly increases the efficiency of this process.

As a result of the measures taken, in the shortest possible time, families raising children with disabilities were provided with the necessary drugs with the establishment of a permanent schedule for their receipt. At present, the needs of all citizens are covered.
