In Crimea, opened the first monument to those who died during the SVO

The first monument in Crimea to those who died during the Special Military Operation was unveiled in the village of Gvardeiskoye, Simferopol District.
On Victory Day, for the first time on the territory of the Republic of Crimea, a monument to the fallen during the Special Military Operation was unveiled. The names of 20 servicemen are immortalized on the memorial. All of them served in the military unit of the Guards and died in 2022— said Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea Irina Kiviko.
The monument is located on the Alley of Heroes, there are also busts of the defenders who fought against the Nazis in the Great Patriotic War. The monument includes two sculptures — a pilot and an infantryman. The inscription on the plates:Eternal glory and eternal memory to the heroes of the SVO who fell in battle«.
And today, 78 years later, our Motherland stood up to fight against Nazism. And today we say: «Everything for the front, everything for the Victory!» And today we are sure — Victory will be ours! May the desire for victory never leave you, and may peace and prosperity forever after this Victory come to our homes— the Crimean Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
