In Crimea, police detained suspects in theft from a private household

Employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea, together with colleagues from the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Simferopol District, detained three residents of the region. They are suspected of stealing property from private households and illegal arms trafficking.— said the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk.
It was previously established that the attackers took advantage of the absence of the owners, squeezed the metal-plastic door of a private house and got inside. They stole two hunting rifles, cash and jewelry. The total amount of damage amounted to more than two million rubles.
The identities of the suspects were established by the operatives. Together with employees of the Russian Guard, they were simultaneously detained in Simferopol, Pervomaisky and Krasnoperekopsky districts of the Republic of Crimea. According to available information, the defendants planned to hide from the investigation in one of the foreign countries. During searches in the places of residence of the detainees, stolen weapons and other property were confiscated. Depending on the role of each, they were charged with crimes under Articles 158, 222 and 226 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Chosen measure of restraint in the form of house arrest— Irina Volk clarified.
The involvement of detainees in similar crimes in the territories of the Republic of Crimea and other subjects of the Russian Federation is being checked.
