In Crimea, sentenced for embezzlement of funds, while receiving social benefits — maternity capital

The Krasnoperekopsky District Court of the Republic of Crimea prosecuted a 39-year-old resident of the Krasnoperekopsky District for fraud in receiving payments, that is, embezzlement of funds, in receiving other social payments established by laws and other regulatory legal acts, by providing knowingly false information committed by a group of persons by prior arrangement, on a large scale.
In the period from November 2015 to July 2016, a 39-year-old mother of 3 children decided to illegally cash out maternity (family) capital funds under a state certificate, by purchasing a land plot, and spend the money received on personal needs not related to improving housing conditions. The defendant turned to third parties, with the help of which she received 100,000 rubles from maternity (family) capital, and the remaining funds in the amount of 333,026 rubles were distributed by third parties by spending part of the money to buy a land plot, and kept part of it for themselves. as a reward for services rendered— noted in the press service of the court.
At the hearing, the defendant fully recognized her guilt in committing the crime she was charged with, she sincerely repented of her deed, and admitted the civil claim in full.
Taking into account extenuating circumstances, the defendant was sentenced to 1 year 6 months in prison. In accordance with Article 73 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the sentence imposed is considered suspended with a probationary period of 1 year.
The civil claim in the amount of 433,026 rubles was satisfied in full.
The verdict came into force.
