In Crimea, the ERA GLONASS system received and transferred 65 calls from motorists to the 112 rescue service

In Crimea, in January and February 2023, the ERA GLONASS system received and transmitted 65 calls from motorists to the 112 rescue service, of which 54 were confirmed alarm messages. This was reported in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.

With the help of ERA-GLONASS, the 112 rescue service receives information about an accident, including exact coordinates, and can quickly find cars that, after an accident, often find themselves out of the line of sight and outside the highways. Additional data on the vehicle (category, type of fuel used, nature of damage) allow you to plan in advance the organization and conduct of rescue operations, taking into account the predicted number of victims. In fact, a panic button replaces a mobile phone in an emergency. «ERA GLONASS» also works in remote areas where there are problems with cellular communication— said in the emergency department.

Today, more than 9.2 million vehicles are connected to the ERA-GLONASS system, which is about 20% of the entire vehicle fleet in Russia.
