In Crimea, the number of small and medium-sized enterprises increased by 1.3 times in 2022

The fact that the entrepreneurship support measures implemented by the authorities of the Republic of Crimea led to a significant increase in the number of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region, said Irina Kiviko, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea.

An important indicator of business activity in the region and the comfort of doing business was a significant increase in the number of small and medium-sized enterprises in the republic. In 2022, the indicators for the number of SMEs and the self-employed were overfulfilled by 1.3 times. At the end of 2022, their number exceeded 162,000. The Deputy Prime Minister noted that against the backdrop of unprecedented sanctions pressure and restrictions related to the conduct of a special military operation, a whole range of measures was adopted to support businesses and citizens, both at the federal and regional levels.

Despite the difficult economic situation, all the tasks set to support small and medium-sized businesses have been implemented— says Irina Kiviko.

In particular, the basic sectors of the economy showed an increase of 6.1%. Revenues from own revenues to the budget increased by 18%. In the real sector of the economy, wages increased by more than 14%. Unemployment fell 1.6 times to a record high of 4.1%.

According to the official, the development of small and medium-sized businesses contributes to the employment of the population, a number of support measures are being implemented in the Republic of Crimea, such as concessional financing, grant support and many other types. Over the past year, SMEs were granted 731 microloans in the amount of 1 billion 553 million rubles, 183 guarantees in the amount of 1.1 billion rubles, which made it possible to attract 3 billion 131 million rubles of credit funds, 56 leasing agreements were concluded for 427.1 million rubles. Also, 52 young entrepreneurs and 51 social enterprises received grants of up to 500 thousand rubles. for a total amount of 49 million rubles.

The Entrepreneurship Support Fund trained 2,800 SMEs, more than 9,000 people received comprehensive services.

Irina Kiviko noted that the government of the Republic of Crimea is fulfilling all the plans and obligations, and the activities of state programs are being implemented in full.
