From February 1, 2026, a unified transport map. The authorities of the republic warned that it will be impossible to pay in cash in public transport of the Crimean Trolleybus enterprise, and from May — in the cars of private carriers. In the evening of the same day, the head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, announced that a complete transition to non-cash payments there won’t besince the project is still unfinished.
There will be no restrictions in this directionsaid the head of the region, commenting on the topic of transport cards.
According to him, the decision of the management of Crimea Trolleybus to abolish cash payments in transport was associated with an attempt to ensure transparency of the receipt of funds into the budget from citizens’ trips, but it turned out to be premature.
We are carrying out the work from the point of view of ensuring transparency of receipts to the cash desk, that is, directly all the proceeds of the Crimea Trolleybus, which citizens pay for travel. That’s it. But not at the cost of passing it on to the citizens. I think it’s as convenient as it is for the client, so it should be. Therefore, there will be no bans in this direction,” the head of the region promised.
