In Crimea, the results of work on preventing and eliminating emergency situations for 2025 were summed up
The Head of the Republic of Crimea, via videoconference, took part in a meeting to summarize the activities of the territorial subsystem of the unified state system for the prevention and response to emergency situations of the Republic of Crimea in 2025 and setting goals for 2026. As Sergey Aksyonov emphasized, employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea have repeatedly demonstrated the ability to act as a single, well-functioning mechanism.
Last year, thanks to your professionalism, dedication and efficiency, we were able to do the most important thing — ensure the safety of citizens. Thanks to your efforts, the consequences of emergencies that arose were minimized. For example, by the end of 2025, more than 1,800 landscape fires were registered in Crimea, for which timely response measures were taken. The fire was not allowed to spread to populated areas, although in 160 cases there were such risksnoted the Head of the Republic.
According to Sergei Aksenov, this year there is still a lot of work to be done in terms of organizing fire safety.
First of all, of course, we are talking about protecting populated areas. Responsibility for this direction lies with both representatives of municipal authorities and local emergency situations authorities. Among the main tasks: plowing areas along the borders with forest and steppe areas, providing the required volume of water intended for extinguishing, monitoring violations of landscaping rules. Let me remind you that extinguishing actions must begin within 30 minutes from the moment of receiving information about a fire.said the Head of Crimea.
In addition, Sergei Aksenov focused on the issue of flood prevention:
In 2025, an audit of hydraulic structures was carried out. On rivers and other bodies of water, potential causes of the threat of flooding of populated areas must be eliminated in advance.
Separately, Sergei Aksyonov expressed gratitude to the Federal Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and personally to the Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief, Alexander Kurenkov, for the constant support and prompt assistance provided.
Kirill Stepanov, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District, also delivered a welcoming speech.
Reports on the activities of their departments were presented by the head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea, Arkady Ozhigin, and the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea, Alexey Eremenko.
