In Crimea there is a campaign “Gift for a newborn. Made in Crimea, with care for you»
From March 1, 2026, a new measure to support families was introduced in the Republic of Crimea: upon discharge from maternity hospitals and maternity wards, parents of newborns are given gift sets of baby supplies. Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea — Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Crimea Elena Romanovskaya, together with the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Crimea Anushavan Agadzhanyan, congratulated the families on their discharge and presented the first gift sets to the State Budgetary Institution of Healthcare of the Republic of Crimea «Simferopol Clinical Maternity Hospital No. 2».
As Elena Romanovskaya noted, this initiative is being implemented on behalf of the Head of the Republic of Crimea within the framework of regional programs to support motherhood and childhood, complementing the federal measures of the national project “Family”.
The birth of a child is the most important and joyful event in every family. Our task is to surround young parents with care from the first days of their baby’s life. The gift set includes everything you need for the first time: high-quality clothes, hygiene products and other accessories that will be a good help for the family,” the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
When creating the kits, special attention was paid to the quality of the goods in order to ensure safety and compliance with high standards for the health of babies. All products included in the kits were produced by Crimean enterprises.
Gift sets are issued in all maternity hospitals and departments of the republic. Today, gift sets were presented to 23 Crimean families, in which 14 boys and 9 girls were born. In total, it is planned to award more than 15 thousand such sets in 2026.
