Farmers of the Republic of Crimea plan to plant 1.12 thousand hectares of vineyards in 2026, Regional Minister of Agriculture Denis Kratyuk told TASS.
By the end of the year, there are plans to plant 700 hectares of orchards and 900 hectares of vineyards. In 2026 — 1.12 thousand hectares of vineyards. For us, grapes are a serious driver, a locomotive. We are leaders in this thanks to the oldest enterprises as well as scientific institutions. In the gardens of these 700 hectares, the main share is stone fruits, pome fruits [культуры]: this is apple, peach, plumhe said.
According to the minister, 940 million rubles of federal support will be allocated for viticulture in Crimea in 2026 (in 2025 — 840 million rubles). In total, since 2014, 11 thousand hectares of vineyards and 10 thousand hectares of orchards have been planted in the Republic of Crimea, which are now in fruiting.
Several waves of frosts were recorded in the Republic of Crimea in the spring. In the summer, due to frosts, a state of emergency was declared in the region, and about a month later, a second state of emergency was declared due to drought.
