In Crimea they want to revise quotas and fishing dates

This year we have such a paradoxical situation. Kherson fishermen began catching mullet much earlier than we planned. This year she went earlier. And now we are seeing the following picture: the quota was chosen earlier in Kherson, chosen correctly, legally. And it turned out that now, near our coast, Razdolnensky, Black Sea regions, we are recording a normal number of mullets that we can catch, but in fact there are no quotas anymorehe said.

Kratyuk said that he reported the situation to the head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov, and received from him the task of tracking the volumes that the Kherson region and the Republic of Crimea, respectively, could produce. In addition, it is necessary to shift the fishing dates so that “our fishermen can fish for as long as possible, using any permitted methods,” the minister believes.

We will have a large scientific council in Rostov, where we will write a letter about shifting and extending the deadlines and fishing time,” he emphasized.

The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic also noted that this year was non-standard for fishing in terms of weather conditions affecting the behavior of fish and affecting the industry: cold spring and warm autumn.

He also noted the bureaucratic nature and inflexibility of the system of regulatory authorities for the industry as problematic issues for fishing enterprises.

We have a lot of programs, a lot of regulatory bodies that deal with this, and for some reason everyone thinks that this is such a simple and easy business. And this business itself is very difficult. And we do not need to reduce the number of control checks, but make them targeted and understandable for fishermen. The fishing industry is not a field where you can sit all day and plan something. We sometimes go to sea for a week a month, no more. And fishermen, instead of sitting and actually working at sea, sometimes fill out tables, — he voiced the problems of Crimean fishermen.
