In Dzhankoy, the prosecutor’s office approved the indictment in a criminal case against a 48-year-old resident of Sevastopol. He is accused of committing a crime under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud committed on an especially large scale).
According to the investigation, the defendant, acting on behalf of a contractor, as part of the implementation of the national project «Formation of a Modern Urban Environment», concluded a municipal contract with a local self-government body for the overhaul of the Stepnaya River embankment in the city of Dzhankoy. In the future, the attacker provided the customer with acceptance certificates for the work performed, indicating false information.
On the basis of these documents, more than 1 million rubles were unreasonably transferred to the contractor’s settlement account, which the accused disposed of at his own discretionthe prosecutor’s office said.
During the investigation, the property of the accused was seized. The criminal case with the approved indictment was sent to the Dzhankoy District Court for consideration on the merits.
