In Evpatoria, the former head of the department of the city administration of capital construction will be judged

Accused of abuse of office.

The prosecutor’s office of Evpatoria approved the indictment in a criminal case against the former head of the department of the Moscow State Institution «Department of capital construction of the administration of the city of Evpatoria of the Republic of Crimea.» He is accused of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“abuse of official powers”).

According to investigators, in April 2020, a contract was signed between the Capital Construction Department and the administration of Yevpatoriya for the overhaul of the building of the Mirnovsky House of Culture. In the future, the accused, knowing that the work was not fully completed by the contractor, signed the acceptance certificates. On the basis of these documents, more than 2 million rubles were unreasonably transferred to the company’s settlement account.

With the approved indictment, the criminal case was sent to the Evpatoria City Court for consideration on the merits. With a criminal case, a statement of claim was filed with the court to recover from the accused the damage caused by the crime.

A criminal case under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud)the prosecutor’s office said.
