Police officers searched for a car driver who knocked down a woman in Feodosia and fled the scene of an accident.
On February 16, at about 7:20 a.m., the driver of the Renaul Tkangoo car, moving along the street. Simferopol Highway in the direction from the street. Eremenko in the direction of st. Kerch highway, hit a 35-year-old woman who was crossing the roadway at an unregulated pedestrian crossing. After the accident, the driver left the scene of the accident. Doctors diagnosed the victim with injuries in the form of a bruise of both feet, outpatient treatment was prescribed— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
Employees of the State traffic inspectorate managed to find an eyewitness to the accident. Thanks to the provided DVR records, the identity of the driver was identified, he turned out to be a 72-year-old local resident. The man explained that he left the scene of the accident, as he was afraid of the consequences for his act.
In relation to the violator, an administrative protocol was drawn up under Part 2 of Art. 12.27 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“failure to fulfill obligations in connection with a traffic accident”). The Feodosia city court sent a man to a day of arrest for leaving the scene of an accident.
