In Feodosia, a verdict was passed in a criminal case on the death of a motorcyclist in an accident

The prosecutor’s office of Feodosia supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a 37-year-old resident of another region. Based on the evidence presented by the prosecutor’s office, he was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation by a person driving a car of the rules of the road, which negligently caused the death of a person).

On July 16, 2022, on the Belogorsk-Feodosia highway in the Nasypny district, the convict, leaving the public transport stop, did not give way to a motorcyclist traveling in the same direction and collided with him, as a result of which the motorcyclist received bodily injuries incompatible with lifethe prosecutor’s office said.

Agreeing with the opinion of the public prosecutor, the Feodosiya City Court sentenced the guilty person to 2 years of suspended liberty with a probationary period of 2 years, with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to driving vehicles for one year. The verdict has not entered into force.
