Employees of the criminal investigation department of Feodosia detained a resident of the Leninsky district, who committed thefts of property of citizens from summer cottages.

As a result of operational search activities, a previously convicted 34-year-old resident of the Leninsky district of Crimea was identified and detained. According to the suspect, he sold part of the stolen property to unknown persons, and pawned part of the property in a pawnshop. As a result of a search at the place of residence of the suspect, police officers found and seized part of the stolen property.
According to these facts, the investigative department of the Russian MIA Department for the city of Feodosia initiated criminal cases on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft committed with illegal entry into the premises”). The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to 5 years.
