In Feodosia, the court considered a criminal case against three members of a credit consumer cooperative. Based on the evidence presented by the prosecutor’s office, they were found guilty of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 172.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of activities to attract funds from individuals, committed by an organized group, on an especially large scale).

It was established that the convicts organized the activities of the «financial pyramid» on the territory of Feodosia. They attracted funds from shareholders by concluding personal savings agreements with them, without carrying out any investment and other legitimate business activities.the prosecutor’s office said.

Almost two hundred people suffered from the actions of the «financiers», who suffered damage in the amount of more than 80 million rubles. Nevertheless, Themis was supportive of the defendants. For this crime, one of the perpetrators was sentenced … in the form of 3 years of imprisonment on probation with a probationary period of 3 years, the other two — in the form of 2 years of imprisonment on probation with a probationary period of 2 years.
