In Feodosia, they dismantled the «paintings» of Aivazovsky on the city embankment

Three years ago, thanks to the collective of the party project “Culture of the Small Motherland” in Feodosia, 12 easels appeared with reproductions of paintings by Ivan Aivazovsky, which decorated the city embankment, Aivazovsky Avenue, the territory of the Armenian temple of the SURB-Sarkis, the observation deck of Mount Mithridates. In the corner of each work, a QR code is indicated, by pointing to which you can go to the audio guide «Genius of the Aivazovsky place».

Our audio guides created as part of the project watched more than 100,000 people !!! Very good reviews are left by guests and residents of the city. A free audio guide to a pedestrian tour of Feodosia, accompanied by paintings by Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky, help to see the stages of development of our city and learn about outstanding projects of the famous artist embodied for the good of the city!— commented on the head of the Central Children’s Library of Feodosia, a member of the team «Culture of the Small Motherland» Elena Stepanova.

Reproductions were made using modern technologies, which increase the stability of work to the effects of bad weather, the forging of the easel was performed by Theodosia masters. Unfortunately, over the past years, weather conditions have been reflected on the reproductions of Ivan Aivazovsky, in connection with which their restoration was required.

Therefore, a decision was made and on September 3, the project team began the careful dismantling of art objects.

We carry out a planned restoration: we paint in fresh colors elegant frames and print new, even more vivid and high -quality reproductions of great paintings— noted the project participants. — After all the work, we will definitely return the updated and buried paintings to their legal places!
