During the judicial investigation, it was established that a 42-year-old man, driving a scooter, hit an 83-year-old man at an unregulated pedestrian crossing, as a result of which the latter died from his injuries in hospital— reported in the Crimean prosecutor’s office.
The Kerch city court, taking into account the position of the public prosecutor, the circumstances mitigating the punishment of the convict, sentenced the man to 2 years of imprisonment on probation with a probationary period of 2 years, with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to driving a vehicle for a period of 2 years.
