In Kerch, a swindler from Kazan was punished for “selling auto parts” on the Internet

In Kerch, the court delivered a verdict in a criminal case against a 24-year-old resident of Kazan. Based on the evidence presented by the prosecutor’s office, he was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud committed with causing significant damage to a citizen).
It was established that the convict posted on the Internet on one of the sites false information about the sale of components for cars. The victim, responding to the ad, transferred 25 thousand rubles to the seller’s bank card for auto parts that the perpetrator did not intend to provide, embezzling funds— told the details in the prosecutor’s office.
The Kerch city court sentenced the perpetrator to 8 months in prison to be served in a colony-settlement. The verdict did not enter into force.
