The duty unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Kerch received a statement from a 61-year-old local resident. The woman said that in the entrance of one of the apartment buildings in the city, her wallet was stolen from her. An investigative team immediately rushed to the scene. After questioning the victim, the investigators found that an unknown man snatched a purse with cash from her bag. The amount of damage caused was 12,500 rubles.
As a result of the operational-search activities, the employees of the criminal investigation department quickly got on the trail of the attacker. It turned out to be a 17-year-old Kerchanin. The young man confessed to his deed and wrote a confession. He disposed of the stolen money at his own discretion— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
The Department of Inquiry of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Kerch initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Robbery). The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to four years. The juvenile robber has been arrested.
