In October, the first flight through the mountains will be launched between Sevastopol and Simferopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Buses, which for the first time will connect Sevastopol and Simferopol not by express service between bus stations, but by regular route through mountain villages, will begin running on Monday, he said in his Telegram channel acting Deputy Governor of Sevastopol Pavel Ieno.

Sevastopol and Simferopol are the centers of two interconnected regions: the federal city of Sevastopol, which, as a subject of the Russian Federation, also includes dozens of smaller settlements, and the Republic of Crimea. The cities are connected by direct trains, which stop at some stations in the suburbs of Sevastopol and Simferopol, and in the Bakhchisarai region between them, as well as routes running through the Tavrida highways. However, in settlements located in the mountains east of the highway and railway, hundreds of people live who work, study or travel to cities on business and are forced to spend a large amount of time on the road with transfers. In addition, the mountains in this area are attractive to tourists and contain natural and historical attractions.

By order of the governor, from October 13, interregional route No. 5-C will depart from the central bus station «Sevastopol» to the bus station «Simferopol AS-2» through eight settlements: the village of Rodnoe, the village of Ternovka, the village of Zalesnoye, the village of Krasny Poppy, the turn to the village of Tankovoe, the village of Siren, the village of Zheleznodorozhnoe and the Bakhchisarai bus station. It is important that this route will connect not only two cities, but also improve transport accessibility between settlements in the suburbs of Sevastopol,” Ieno wrote.

He clarified that buses along the route will operate eight times a day.

Let me note that specialists will monitor the route to determine whether it is in demand. If it shows stable passenger flow, the route will be included in the schedule on an ongoing basisadded Ieno.
