In Sevastopol, a drunk driver was convicted. Will the lesson work?

In Sevastopol, the driver was brought to criminal responsibility for driving while intoxicated. According to the press service of the city prosecutor’s office, male, born in 1977. found guilty of committing a crime under Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules by a person subjected to administrative punishment).

It was established that the man had previously been brought to administrative responsibility for the driver’s failure to comply with the legal requirement of an authorized official to undergo a medical examination for intoxication. He was deprived of the right to drive vehicles for a period of 1 year 6 months and fined 30 thousand rubles, but he did not draw the proper conclusions for himselfthe prosecutor’s office said.

The drunk driver did not hear the first «bell». In August 2022, while in the Fiolentovsky highway area, he calmly got behind the wheel of a moped and drove around the Gagarinsky district of the city of Sevastopol, where he was stopped by traffic police. Do not hesitate, after the examination procedure, the violator was found to be intoxicated.
