In Sevastopol, a local resident was sentenced for the murder of a woman and the attempted murder of a man

The prosecutor’s office of the city of Sevastopol proved in court the guilt of a 50-year-old local resident under Part 1 of Art. 105 (murder) and part 3 of Art. 30 – p “a” part 2 tbsp. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder).

The criminal case was considered by the Gagarinsky District Court of Sevastopol with the participation of jurors. It was established that on the evening of February 12, 2025, while at home in the Monsoon gardening community, the convict was drinking alcohol with guests — a woman and a man from a neighboring house. While spending time together in the company, a quarrel occurred. The owner of the house decided to prove that he was right not with words, but with physical force. He took a brick and struck both guests multiple times on the head. As a result of her injuries, the 45-year-old woman died on the spot. Her 37-year-old partner was also seriously injured, but thanks to the qualified assistance of doctors, he survived.

The investigation into the criminal case was carried out by the investigative department for the Gagarinsky district of the city of Sevastopol of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol,” the department’s press service reported.

During the trial, government prosecutors convinced the jury that the man was guilty and did not deserve leniency. The court sentenced him to 17 years and 6 months of imprisonment in a maximum security correctional colony, and after serving the main sentence — restriction of freedom for a period of 1 year and 6 months.
