In Sevastopol, on the pier Mine Wall, a memorial plaque was opened to the sailors of the large landing ships Saratov and Novocherkassk, who died while performing combat missions to ensure the grouping of Russian forces in the Mariupol direction. This was reported by the press service of the Southern Military District.

The opening ceremony was attended by relatives of the fallen servicemen, the command of the Crimean naval base, servicemen of the landing ships, veterans of the Navy, Yunarmiya and the clergy.

To the drum roll, the servicemen of the guard of honor company of the Black Sea Fleet opened a memorial plaque to the Black Sea sailors. The event ended with the laying of flowers by the guests of honor at the memorial plaque and the passage of the flag platoon and personnel of the Black Sea Fleet landing ships brigade in a solemn march.
