In Sevastopol, a motorcyclist tried to escape from inspectors. Result: got into an accident, and then they found marijuana on him
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In just one trip around our city, a 56-year-old Muscovite managed to collect a whole bunch of offenses, cause an accident and become a defendant in a criminal case.
A few days ago, a guest from the capital dashed through an unregulated crossing on a Honda motorcycle and did not allow pedestrians to pass, which attracted the attention of traffic police. However, the motorcyclist ignored the stop signal given by the traffic inspector and tried to escape. The motorcyclist’s action was clearly disproportionate to the severity of the violation and raised doubts among law enforcement officers about its adequacy — it is stupid to aggravate a minor violation by creating a threat to other road users. The chase along Kamyshovaya Highway was short-lived. Trying to break away from the patrol car, the motorcyclist jumped through the prohibiting traffic light signal without incident, but, as previously reported, at 4 km + 100 m of the Sevastopol-Port Kamyshovaya Bay highway, he incorrectly chose a safe distance from the Changan car in front and collided. The strong blow threw the offender out of the saddle, and a polymer bag flew out of his jacket pocket. As a result of the incident, the reckless driver received injuries and was taken to the hospital. He refused a medical examination to determine whether he was intoxicated.— reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.
The package that fell out at the time of the accident was seized and sent for forensic examination, which determined that the contents were marijuana weighing 44 grams.
A criminal case was opened against the detainee by an employee of the investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Gagarinsky district under Part 1 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, production, processing of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues.” The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to three years.
