In Sevastopol, a recidivist thief «nightmare» supermarkets

In Sevastopol, investigators detained a man suspected of a series of thefts from supermarkets. The criminal booty of the attacker was the personal belongings of supermarket visitors and goods from stores.
A 44-year-old local resident, previously convicted of theft, visited large shopping centers in the Leninsky and Gagarinsky districts of Sevastopol in order to commit theft. In two episodes of illegal activity, he stole shopping bags from the storage rooms of grocery supermarkets, using the selection of a key in one of the cases, and in the second — an unlocked locker door. In two more episodes, the attacker stole goods from sportswear stores. The man sold the stolen goods to passers-by, and spent the money stolen from the bags on alcoholic drinks and other purchases. The amount of damage caused by his actions, previously amounted to about 40 thousand rubles.— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
As a result of operational-search activities, the criminal investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Gagarinsky district detained the suspect. Criminal cases were initiated against the detainee under Part 1 and Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft”), he faces up to five years in prison.
