In Sevastopol, a 23-year-old local resident accidentally lost his bank card on the street. Everything would be fine, but a certain passer-by noticed it. The man secretly picked up someone else’s card and in several stores paid for his own purchases and purchases of his friend with it. When the money in the account ran out, the attacker got rid of the evidence. As clarified in the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol, the criminally obtained money was spent by the attacker on the purchase of clothes, shoes, cigarettes and alcohol. And let the «squanderer» … surveillance cameras in the stores where he «stocked up.»
As a result of operational-search activities, the criminal investigation department of the Severnoye police department detained a 37-year-old suspect. His involvement in the crime is confirmed by confessions and testimonies, as well as seized recordings from CCTV cameras.— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
A criminal case was initiated against the detainee under part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft”), he faces up to 6 years in prison.
