An increased pension for dependent children (schoolchildren and students) is received by about 2.7 thousand Sevastopol parents-pensioners.

We remind you that pensioner parents are entitled to an increased fixed payment to the insurance pension if their children study at secondary, secondary vocational or higher educational institutions. Full-time education and the age of the child-student no more than 23 years are also necessary conditions. At the same time, until the children reach years, an increased fixed payment to pensioner parents is assigned regardless of whether the child is studying or not , the press service notes. The supplement for each child (but not more than three children) is one third of the fixed payment, which is part of each pension. From June 1 406 of the year, its amount is 2 406, 91 rubles. This size is indexed annually. At the same time, for the same child, the pension can be increased for both pensioner parents.

Please note that if a student takes an academic leave, then his retired parents will continue to receive an increased pension. In case of expulsion of a student from an educational institution or transfer to correspondence, evening, distance learning, or conscription for military service, the payment of an increased amount of insurance pension to his retired parents is terminated , experts say.

The recalculation of the amount of the fixed payment to the insurance pension is made from the 1st day of the month following the month of application.
