On behalf of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation, the Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Sevastopol carried out an audit on the appeal of a local resident from among orphans about the violation of her housing rights.
It has been established that the girl 1997 of the year of birth is included in the list of orphans, children left without parental care, and persons from among them to be provided with living quarters . However, for a long time she was not provided with an apartment, and she was forced to rent housing on a commercial basis. The prosecutor’s office sent a statement of claim to the Gagarinsky District Court of Sevastopol on imposing on the department of capital construction of the city the obligation to provide an orphan with housing under a contract for hiring specialized housing , the press service of the department reported.
The prosecutor’s claim was satisfied. The actual execution of the court decision was under the constant control of the city prosecutor’s office. After the prosecutor’s office intervened, the orphan’s rights were restored: the applicant was provided with a comfortable apartment in a new building. In September of this year, the girl celebrated a housewarming party.
