In Sevastopol, as part of the “GTO for graduates” campaign, more than 200 schoolchildren tested their strength
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The traditional event “TRP for graduates” took place at the stadium named after the 200th anniversary of Sevastopol. More than 200 students of grades 9 and 11 took part in it, who decided to test themselves and fulfill the standards of the All-Russian physical culture and sports complex “Ready for Labor and Defense” (GTO).
The test program covered key disciplines to assess the strength, speed and flexibility of participants: short and long distance running, standing long jump, hanging pull-ups on high and low bars, bending and straightening the arms, bending forward from a standing position on a gymnastic bench.
Before the start of passing the standards, the participants were given an energetic warm-up. It was organized by representatives of the Sevastopol Acrobatic Rock and Roll Federation — it helped schoolchildren warm up, get ready for active work and reduce the risk of injury.
This year the GTO program attracted a record number of Sevastopol graduates. If the guys successfully pass the tests, at the end of the year they will see an order with the level of the TRP badge received, and they will receive the insignia of the complex and a certificate for it at special events or along with certificates,” the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the GTO Testing Center, Mikhail Kozakov.
The “TRP for Graduates” campaign not only helps to popularize a healthy lifestyle, but also gives graduates a chance to get additional points when entering colleges and higher education institutions. Successful passing of standards is not only recognition of sporting achievements, but also an important step towards comprehensive personal development.
