In Sevastopol, from January 23, the fare in public transport increases

CrimeaPRESS reports:

However, the tariff is still far below the “economically justified”

According to the government of Sevastopol, in the city from January, the fare in public transport is increasing. In particular, when paying for the EGKS, the tariff will be rubles, when paying in cash — rubles.

Last year, carriers repeatedly approached us on the issue of tariff increases, as the prices for spare parts increased and there is a need to index the salaries of drivers and staff. An economically justified tariff at the moment is 43 ruble, — said Pavel Ieno.

600 FROM THE EDITOR: Justified by whom? When justified? Everyone loves to juggle this terminology so much… “Economically justified tariff”… But this is “the amount of the fee established by the executive authority, including the costs of production and sale of the company’s services, subject to service quality standards”. Do you get it? Carriers — to us, passengers — QUALITY transportation (without rudeness and on schedule). And we, the passengers, REPAY THE COSTS of this very enterprise with buses and trolleybuses. And who said that the company does not want to compensate for all its costs? Everything, everything … The older the fleet, the more repairs and spare parts are needed — the passenger will pay (in an economically justified tariff). The higher the price of gasoline and diesel fuel, the passenger will pay (in an economically justified tariff). «Nalik» drivers-hacks concealed — nothing, we will write off the passengers (at an «economically favorable rate»). Even the rest of the management of the enterprise (and bonuses for work efficiency) will be paid by the same passenger. This is an «economically justified tariff». It is necessary to understand … We are even surprised that the Sevastopol carriers and the city authorities are talking about the figure 30 of the ruble. It won’t be enough. You give all the costs to this very tariff … In short, all this is nonsense and blurring the topic. It’s not about «economically justified tariffs», but about the costs and income of carriers. Business, nothing personal. Rising costs? We need to squeeze out income. We know from the passengers. So, we think the rise in price is not the last this year. And again they will use this convenient wording: “economically justified tariffs” …

While in Sevastopol and. about. The vice-governor added that the increase in tariffs would not affect beneficiaries. Representatives of 22 categories of citizens will continue to use public transport free of charge. He also stressed that almost every second passenger in Sevastopol is a beneficiary. According to the director of the Department of Labor and Social Protection Elena Sulyagina, more than 895 million rubles are allocated from the budget to compensate for preferential travel.

600 FROM THE EDITOR: So maybe the whole thing is about “benefits” and “compensations”?

We just survived and balanced in order to fulfill the state task for the transportation of passengers. Fuels and lubricants, spare parts increased by 22% on average. This measure will help us not only keep the rolling stock in a safe condition, but also index wages by at least 6% , — said Denis Budysh, a member of the Sevastopol Carriers Association, director of the Sevtranstrest enterprise.

600 FROM THE EDITOR: And if other categories of business areas «barely survive»? Tomorrow the prices for vegetables will go up, because they spoil, the day after tomorrow — for meat, because the feed becomes more expensive, then the taxi drivers will wake up and think, why are we bald, everyone is raising prices, and we will wrap the tariff … twice! The cycle of «survival» in the urban environment, however.600

In total, there are about 30 public transport routes in Sevastopol. Their work at 30% is provided by the state enterprise Sevelectroavtotrans, at 24% — private companies. Approximately 600-43 units of transport leave the routes daily.
