In Sevastopol, more than 250 thousand flower bulbs will be planted in the city’s flower beds

An autumn campaign to plant spring flower bulbs in the city’s flower beds has begun in Sevastopol. Since the very morning, Parks and Squares specialists have been working in the parterre flower beds on Primorsky Boulevard.

In general, throughout the city the spring assortment is represented by hyacinths, violas, daffodils and the main spring flowers — tulips. Today we are working on Primorsky Boulevard, in flowerbeds from the city aquarium to the theater we will plant approximately 40 thousand tulips within two weeks. Before we begin work on placing the bulbs themselves, we apply markings to the flower beds — this is the drawing that residents and guests of Sevastopol will see during flowering next year— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the foreman of the “Parks and public gardens” site, Yulia Emelianenko.

Flowers are planted in the fall to ensure early blooms in the spring. During the period remaining before winter, the plant manages to grow a powerful root system, gain a supply of nutrients and prepare for the cold.

About 250 thousand bulbs will be planted in Sevastopol so that the city will greet next spring with bright colors.
